Sales Development Representative

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), your role is to lay the foundation for Quiq sales by engaging with prospects, helping them understand the value of Quiq, and moving them forward in the sales process.  You will be responsible for researching, contacting, and generating qualified leads for the Sales team within Quiq’s target market through inbound marketing efforts and outbound prospecting including cold calling.  As the first point of contact, you play a key role in building the Quiq brand, creating a great first impression, and building momentum for not only the sales team but the company as a whole.

Successful candidates will be knowledgeable, consultative, articulate, and able to develop qualified leads that result in sales opportunities.  The ideal candidate will be as passionate about Quiq’s solutions as they are about providing an exceptional and professional experience for our potential clients.

The SDR position reports into Sales but also works closely with the Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research accounts, identify key players, generate interest and develop relationships with important stakeholders

  • Outbound prospecting via phone/email/social to drive sales opportunity pipeline with key stakeholders at target accounts

  • Inbound lead follow-up in agreement with Marketing/Sales process (webinars, trade shows, campaigns, etc.)

  • Follow through on multi-touch process for inbound leads and outbound targets

  • Provide qualification and discovery on opportunities generated

  • Logging all notes and activities in

  • Schedule quality appointments and meetings for the sales team

  • Provide relevant feedback to management to help refine process, messaging, key campaigns, and programs

  • Work closely with marketing and sales leadership to convert leads to sales opportunities

  • Keep abreast of all new products, market trends, future directions and the competition

  • Monthly, quarterly and annual quota attainment of individual objectives (appointments, opportunities, activities, etc)


  • 0-3 years of professional work experience (B2B software sales and/or SaaS experience is a plus)

  • Experience within a telemarketing, lead generation, cold calling, or new business sales capacity a plus

  • Strong rapport building phone communication skills

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Exceptional listening skills and ability to understand prospect/customer needs combined with the ability to synthesize information for sales team

  • Strong organization and time management skills

  • Collaborative and coachable

  • Comfortable contacting new contacts via phone, email, and LinkedIn

  • High attention to detail

  • Hard-worker, hungry for results, fearless, and committed to success

  • Self-motivated, execution-oriented, and willing to roll up one’s sleeves to tackle opportunities head-on

  • Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (email, voicemail, LinkedIn, Google apps, and

  • BS/BA or equivalent required
